Honest Larder turns the welcome basket into a small shop. A well-made unit, stocked with local produce, sitting in the space guests already walk past on their way in.
Guests take what they want and pay for it there and then. No cash tin to empty, no list of prices taped to a shelf.
The host does not become a shopkeeper. That is the whole design constraint: if it needs managing, it is not finished.
And small producers get shelf space somewhere their food would otherwise never reach.
What it does
Something well made enough to leave out in a room you have spent money on.
Local produce chosen for the area, in and ready, rather than a supplier list and an afternoon of phone calls.
Guests scan, pay and go. No honesty box to count and no awkward conversation at checkout.
You can see what is selling and what is running low, and topping it up is somebody else’s job.
A shelf in places that are hard for a small food business to reach on its own.
It should earn its corner without ever becoming another thing on the list.
Where it is
Honest Larder is the earliest of the three brands. The shape of it is settled; how the units and the stock work commercially is still being worked through.
Nothing is on sale yet. honestlarder.com is up, but it is a coming-soon page — we would rather say that plainly than dress a plan up as a product.
Launching 2027. If you host somewhere it would suit, or you make something that belongs on the shelf, leave an email and we will come back to you when it is real.
Leave your email and we’ll tell you when Honest Larder opens. No newsletter, no drip campaign.
Honest Larder is a Wonderly Ventures Ltd brand. honestlarder.com is up, but it’s a holding page for now.
